Anthropic and PwC announced an expanded strategic alliance on May 14, 2026. Those numbers show ambition, but they should not be read as settled evidence of broad outcomes. Vendor-published case studies are selected around success. "Up to 70%" is not an average, and the baseline and measurement period matter. If insurance underwriting fell from 10 weeks to 10 days, we still need to know which work was included, where humans made final decisions, and how error rates and rework changed.

Even with those caveats, the numbers are useful because they signal a market transition. The AI agent market is moving from demo competition to operating performance competition.
